A butterfly for a special person
The theme for this week over on Crafty Ann's Challenge blog is to make a card for someone special. I have made this card for my Auntie who will be 87 on the 16th April.
I stamped the fancy butterfly by creative expressions onto lilac card and embossed in gold. I sprayed the background with crafters companion spray and sparkle gold, but this doesn't show up very well in the photo. I then glittered the wing with cornflower blue glitter. I stamped the butterfly again on vellum and cut out the wings. I glittered with grape glitter on the wings and seashell glitter on the middle and antenna, I then stuck it on top of the original butterfly. The bp is from the arylicious damask delights cd rom. I added some flowers, brads and gems, some ribbon and a sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

In my garden
I had a lovely time at thr NEC on Friday, I bought lots of crafting goodies, none of which have been used on this card. I met some lovely friends from the Creating Rainbows Forum and also some from Joanna Sheen's forum.
This card I have made for Rainbow Lady's Challenge, In my garden I see...... I decided to use the birdbox, because in my garden I have three of them and the blue and great tits have been in and out of them for the last few weeks, trying to decide who is having which.
The stamp is creative stamping and actually belonged to a friend of mine who can't get along with stamping, I do keep trying to persuade her. It is coloured with promarkers and simply matted on pink and green card. The punch is Martha Stewart and the buttons were part of my mothers day gift from my daughter.

Birthday gift thankyou card
Well, I have had such a busy birthday week, meeting family and friends, I have not had much time for crafting. Having recieved some lovely gifts, I have made my first of the many thankyou cards I need to make..
I used the popcorn the bear rubber stamp by crafters companion and coloured with promarkers. It's a really large stamp as can be seen from this six inch square card. I used distress ink for the first time around the edge of the stamped image. The bp is joanna sheen warm marble. The flower started off blue, but I coloured with pro marker to complement the other colours on the card and added some distressed stickles.
Thankyou for looking.

Bah Humbug Challenge stitching

The baubles are coloured with stickles and the snowflakes around the tree are embossed with sprinkle and sparkle shimmer powder. The pot is embossed with sprinkle and sparkle christmas green. The backing paper is from the Artylicious Christmas cd rom. The sparkle doesn't really show up on the photo.

Nature is Painting Beautiful Pictures
I have made this card for my friend who shares the same love of nature as myself. I have used this stamp from Joanna Sheen lot's of times and I think it works great with the sentiment from The Stampman rambling plate. The backing paper is joanna sheen. I coloured the image with sakura crystal laquers, sprinkling a bit of glitter on the wings of the cherub. I swiped a gold ink pad around it and finished off with some brads, a vellum butterly and ribbon from my stash.

Crafty Ann's Challenge 9
I have made this card for Crafty Ann's Challenge. The challenge is to use a fold or technique which takes you out of your comfort zone. I chose to use scrap magic. Although I have had the template for a long time I have only actually used it twice before. I do like the finished cards, but I am out of my comfort zone. I actually enjoyed doing this one though and feel that I should definately use it more often.
The stamp I used was from crafters companion embossed with gold and painted with twinkling H20's. The backing papers are from the crafters companion oriental cd rom. The oriental coin embellishment is from my stash.
Thankyou for looking

A watercolour door scene
Good morning, it is not as sunny today, but still quite pleasant here, the birds are busy trying to decide where to start building their nests in my garden.
I just love using these stamps by Art Impressions, I find it so therapeutic using the water brush to blend the colours with Marvy Leplumme Markers. The stamps used were doorway, small, vine, daisy bunch, wood planter, bare branch and jumbo tiny grass. The image was just matted with nestabilities, the backing paper is gingham by Joanna Sheen, the sentiment graphicus, with a simple lilac ribbon to finish off.

Bah humbug challenge
This weeks challenge on the Bah Humbug Challenge Blog was Trees. Well as I am new to blogging and wanted to have a go at this one and the closing date and time was today at mid day, I thought that I had better get my skates on.
The stamp I used was Creative Expressions. I stamped with veramark and embossed with silver ep. I smeared the tree with crystal stickles, but that doesn't show up too well on the photo. The garland is bedazzles stuck on with wet glue. The baubles are turquoise stickles and the snow at the bottom is white fine glitter. I embossed the snowflakes around the tree with Sprinkle and Sparkle shimmer ep. The backing Paper is from the artylicious cd rom.
Thankyou for looking.

Rainbow lady's challenge
Hi what a beautiful day it has been today, the sun was shining and there was a bit of warmth in it. I took my dog Olivia to the beach and felt the real feel good factor.
This weeks Rainbow Lady Challenge is to stamp on an unusual material. Last week we put up some new vertical blinds and had to cut them to size. I kept some of the off cuts and this is what I used to stamp on with a stamp from The Stamp Man Aspects of Design Flutters and Florals using stazon.I thought this was an unusual material lol. I coloured with Sakura glaze pens and cut out with circle nestabilities. Thankyou for looking in today.
