CD Sunday challenge ornate blossom

Hi friends, this weeks challenge at cd sunday, is ornate blossom.
I chose to make this card and would like to dedicate it to  my lovely sister Kath who passed away suddenly on the 3rd of March 2013. It would have been her 60th birthday last Tuesday the 7th of May and I miss her terribly.
The blossom on the fuscia with the wren rooting around it, just looked so tranquil and like a scene from my garden in the summer.
The cd I used was flowers in bloom by card creations plus.
i
This simple card just used spellbinders pentagon, le papillon, bakers twine and paper roses. Thankyou for looking.

CD Sunday challenge wedding

Good afternoon, it is Sunny, but windy here today but the sun always lifts my mood.

.I made this card for my niece to give her brother and his wife on their wedding day. The challenge this week on the cd sunday challenge blog is weddings, so I am entering this card into it. The backing paper is from crafters companion love cd. The stamp is joanna sheen, the stamp and the words are embossed in gold. The colouring is watercolour pencils with a touch of glitter. Thankyou for looking.

Playing with my spellbinders carnation dies

I have been playing with my carnation dies and am thrilled with them. For these flowers I have used pink tissue paper and a tiny smudge of distress ink.
Now to think of a project to use them on.

I am back and crafting again

Hello sorry it has been a long time since I have posted anything on my blog, but I am back now with more enthusiasm for learning new things from other people. I have not done much crafting for a while, only making quick cards to take into the clic sargent shop. Clic sargent is the childrens cancer charity that helped Lana our granddaughter when she was ill.
I have made this card for a girl I work with who has recently become a grandparent.
I have had that stamp for a while, but I just love this teqnique of stamping on acetate and using pearl crystal laquers to create a teddy bears fur effect. I layered it onto a spellbinders die cut. I cut a thin sliver of the backing paper to thread through the die to make a ribbon slider effect The balloon is from the up up and away spellbinders die set and is sprayed with crafters companion spray and sparkle. I made it into an easel card with added embellishments. Thankyou so much for looking and any comments would be very much appreciated.

I have entered this for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C183 babies.

card for a 2 year old

I made this card for my great niece who was 2 on the 20th of September. The design was inspired by one that Jayne Nestorenko had done using her Cute Companion stamps. I stamped the numbers and characters using black versafine and colored them, using inktense pencils. The words happy birthday were stamped with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.
My grandaughter is still having chemo and has now lost all of her hair. Her daddy has shaved his head too, to make her feel a bit better. Please keep her in your thoughts and hope that we have a positive outcome.

Thankyou for looking.

Harvest Dance

Good Morning fellow bloggers, I am sorry that I have not posted for a long time, but as some of you will already know, our three year old Granddaughter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour and has undergone major surgery. She is now having chemo therapy to attack the cancer cells that have migrated to her spine. Please keep her in your thoughts and hope that we have a positive outcome.

I made this card for a friend of mine, who loves nature and this digital stamp by mo's digital pencil, fitted the bill perfectly. I coloured the image with promarkers and swiped the edges with distressed ink. The backing paper and insert is from the new Essence of Nature cd rom by Artylicious. This was matted onto rust coloured card. The only embellishment for this one was a wrapping of gold ribbon.
I made another card for my other friend which was a concertina card, but I forgot to photograph it, so I will have to make another one to show.
Thankyou for looking.
